Homewood Suites by Hilton New Braunfels

A very nice hotel with one exception which I’ll explain below. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the entire hotel looked clean and was well kept up. The breakfast was good. Our only problem was that the room above us had a very creaky, noisy, floor. We were in 319 and the folks in 419 unintentionally woke us up early each morning during our stay. It was very frustrating to have the weekend off and yet be awakened by people walking around getting ready to go out. They weren’t clomping or running in the room. It sounded like they were just getting ready to go out. Nevertheless, it was so irritating to be awakened, we would opt for a different hotel until these floors are fixed. I hope management reads this and does work on the problem to fix it.

I was not very happy with my recent stay. Let me start by saying we only live about 30 minutes away and we only wanted to stay here because our AC is out and we are waiting for repairs. So we checked in at 530 pm. We asked at the front desk about the Evening Social and what they would have to drink. (We been through a lot and really needed to be stress free have a drink and relax.) We were told that the Evening Social was only on Wednesday nights. What????? The website says daily. Okay so whatever we can go get our own drinks. So we go up to the room (elevator floor was wet because someone had just gotten out of the pool. Only one elevator was working) As we get off the elevator we realized our room was the first one. ( so we get to hear the elevator all night). As we get in the room we were impressed on how nice and big it was. Very clean and comfy. We changed clothes to head down to the pool have a few drinks and just relax. After being at the pool for about 30 min a lady comes to tell us the pool is closed because someone threw up in it. She said it would be about an hour before the pool would reopen. So we left and went to get food in town. We came back a few hours later to find the pool still closed. We were told at the front desk that someone pooped in the pool and it now will be closed for 12 to 24 hours. Very unhappy we go back upstairs to our room. To find the people across the hall apparently we're very sick. There was throw up in the hall in the floor in the carpet and on the wall. Someone had poured some sort of white powder on top of the throw up that was in the floor. The wall was never cleaned. After laying in the bed thinking about all that and listening to the elevator, we decided to pack up and go home. So needless to say we only stayed about 6 hours and left.

We just wanted to stay close to our sone and found this place. First time staying at a Homewood and liked it. The room was nice but a little worn. That is the reason for 4 stars. It had a good size full kitchen that was nice but I did not use. Great size overall room and very comfy. Breakfast was good and we will be back in the future when visiting.

Recently, I had the misfortune of staying at a hotel that left a lot to be desired. Despite my expectation of a quiet and comfortable stay, the constant noise from nearby basketball courts and the lackadaisical attitude of the staff made for a truly unpleasant experience. In this review, I will shed light on the issues I encountered during my stay, highlighting the importance of seeking alternative accommodations to avoid a similar disappointment. Noise Disturbance from Basketball Courts: One of the most significant drawbacks of this hotel was the presence of basketball courts located right next to the first-floor rooms. To my dismay, guests were permitted to play games until as late as 10pm. As a result, the incessant noise from the courts reverberated throughout the rooms, making it virtually impossible to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. This lack of consideration for guests seeking restful accommodations seriously compromised the overall experience. Inattentive and Unmotivated Staff: Another major disappointment during my stay was the laziness and lack of professionalism exhibited by the hotel staff. This Hilton is beautiful. The location is great. It's near the freeway and a few blocks down there is a mall with Target, Ross, Belk and others. In the back of the hotel, there are numerous eateries including Mexican, Vietnamese, Bar-b-cue and hot dogs as well as a beer garden with food trucks. Everything in and out of the hotel was spotlessly clean. So clean! The beds were comfortable, the elevators fast and the coffee/tea was tasty and endless. I would definitely stay here again.
